Job Description

Through the marketing and communication function, with an emphasis on digital marketing, content creation, public relations, trade marketing, and sustainability, the incumbent will be responsible for promoting the company's investment products. They will also focus on building strong investor relationships and delivering clear, compliant, and engaging messaging across various channels.

Marketing Strategy & Brand ManagementDevelop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and attract investors.Position Old Mutual Investment Group’s products effectively to different target audiences (e.g., retail investors, institutional clients).Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials.Product Marketing & Investor EducationCreate and distribute informative content to educate investors about unit trusts, market trends, and financial planning.Collaborate with fund managers to translate complex investment strategies into easy-to-understand marketing materials.Conduct webinars, workshops, and investment literacy programs.Digital Marketing & Content CreationManage the company’s website, ensuring up-to-date and engaging content.Oversee social media campaigns to drive engagement and lead generation.Develop SEO strategies, email marketing campaigns, and blog content related to investments.Handle media relations, press releases, and public statements about fund performance, regulatory changes, and company updates.Act as a spokesperson or support leadership in media engagements.Manage crisis communications and reputation management.Stakeholder Engagement & Investor RelationsCommunicate with investors, financial advisors, and key stakeholders to build trust and loyalty.Prepare investor reports, newsletters, and fund fact sheets.Address investor queries and concerns promptly and professionally.Compliance & Regulatory CommunicationEnsure all marketing materials comply with financial regulations and industry standards.Work closely with legal and compliance teams to maintain transparency and credibility.Stay updated on financial market regulations affecting unit trusts.Performance Analysis & ReportingMonitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using analytics and performance metrics.Provide reports on market trends, customer feedback, and marketing ROI.Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies.Public Relations & Corporate Communications

Implements all through-the-line marketing activities. Implements marketing plans for selected market segments. Provides a consulting function, serving as a resource and concept generator to the marketing managers in order to implement the marketing strategy and plan developed by the seniors.

ResponsibilitiesBrand Positioning

Ensure the application of brand guidelines and brand templates and inform the organization on the importance of brand alignment and positioning.

Sales Promotion

Develop and implement standard sales promotion programs to boost sales and customer loyalty, following the guidelines.

Marketing Communications

Contribute to the development and delivery of marketing communications campaigns across all media to support the business plan and increase sales.

Events Planning and Delivery

Plan and deliver smaller events to ensure that the events are produced according to schedule, within budget, and meet all deadlines, and work closely with, and coordinate activities of, all other parties involved in the design, development, sales, marketing, and delivery of the events.

Content Creation

Collate and summarize information for use in developing content and write first drafts of straightforward content for print or websites.

Information and Business Advice

Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.

Project Management

Support others by carrying out a range of project management activities.

Multiagency Work

Communicate and coordinate with other professional teams (including some that are over organizational boundaries) to ensure service users experience cohesive and seamless support to meet their needs.

Personal Capability Building

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
