The Specialist will assist in ongoing clinical, research and academic initiatives throughout the division. This position will aid division leadership in planning and managing operational and communication needs of the division and cancer service line. This position will be tasked with moving forward various projects and initiatives that fulfill the needs of the division. The position does not entail direct patient contact. Develops and executes marketing and communication strategies by creating and implementing comprehensive marketing and communication plans, utilizing both traditional and digital publishing technologies. 2. Collaborates with stakeholders for website optimization by engaging with internal teams and external partners to understand their needs, expectations, and specific requirements, ensuring seamless website optimization and system integration. 3. Manages divisional and service line communication efforts by developing, curating, and disseminating relevant information regarding divisional projects to both internal and external stakeholders. 4. Monitors and optimizes communication strategies by tracking the effectiveness of marketing and communication tactics, analyzing performance metrics, and adjusting strategies to improve engagement and impact. 5. Conceptualizes and develops project strategies by collaborating with department leaders and key stakeholders to brainstorm, conceptualize, and develop initiatives that align with organizational goals. 6. Ensures accuracy and quality of communications by proofreading all communication materials for clarity, consistency, and accuracy. 7. Manages the research and development of content for publication. 8. Develops and adheres to project timelines. 9. Implement systems to gather relevant data and performance metrics related to the division’s objectives. Analyze the data to assess progress, effectiveness and inform decision-making. 10. Problems arising from these coordination efforts will be addressed by the incumbent who will refer to the manager for issues outside of program policy and procedure guidelines. **Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree English, Journalism, Communications, or related field plus 3 years of related experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills; familiarity with a variety of computer software; project management and strong interpersonal skills; ability to work both individually and in a team setting. Some areas may require additional experience with specific computer systems and may require skills in interviewing, ad copy writing, editing, photography, web writing, graphic design, audio & video production, and oral presentation. Master’s degree in a related field may be preferred.
