Marketing Compliance Manager (Virtual)

About the Position

 

The Marketing Compliance Manager reviews marketing materials to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements. The individual applies knowledge of existing laws, regulations, and applicable legal standards that impact higher education and UOPX Marketing and provides guidance and insight to stakeholders within the Marketing organization about such topics. The Marketing Compliance Manager collaborates with colleagues in Marketing Compliance to  manage documentation, processes, and procedures to ensure robust record-keeping and audit preparation.

What You’ll Do:


1. Review marketing materials for compliance with federal, state, and accreditor guidelines.  Apply all current legal disclaimers and triggers and collaborate with Legal to understand new and changing regulatory requirements.

2. Act as liaison among Legal, Marketing Compliance, and other Marketing teams to ensure efficient communication throughout the brand material review process.

3. Manage closure of all project and final asset storage to ensure proper documentation preservation and audit preparation.

4. Collaborate with the Marketing Operations team to design, implement, and maintain project management processes and software to ensure alignment with any legal and regulatory requirements to which UOPX may be subject. 

5. Maintain records of relevant compliance support materials, including subject matter expert reviews, substantiation documentation, training documentation, and other related items.

6.. Serve as a subject matter expert for Marketing working groups in matters related to regulatory, legal, and accreditation compliance.

7. Collaborate with partners in Marketing Compliance and Legal to manage systems, processes, and guidelines relevant to the creation and review of marketing assets.

8. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:


• Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Legal Studies, Business Administration or related field


• Three (3) years of experience with compliance or regulatory work 


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:


• Master’s degree 

• Experience working with compliance or regulatory work in a marketing setting

• Experience working in for-profit education industry

• Able to work with cross-functional team and build relationships

• Able to manage projects from concept to implementation

• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Able to communicate effectively with internal partners including legal, regulatory, and corporate compliance organizations
