Position Overview
The Marketing Content Manager creates compelling and engaging marketing content across a variety of marketing channels: digital (web, blog, email, social), sales support tools, product marketing, and various internal communications. This position is an integral member of the Marketing team and leads content development initiatives, working cross-departmentally and with external agencies and/or freelancers as needed. The Marketing Content Manager owns the development of Encore’s content marketing strategy with the overall goal of connecting, inspiring and engaging meeting and event planners, as well as team members across the organization. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing.
Key Job Responsibilities
Overall Content Strategy and Production
• Manage and develop marketing and communications content for social, website and email campaigns (across various channels) under the general direction of senior marketing leadership team members with overall ownership of the content marketing process.
• Write, edit, and produce copy for newsletters, web pages, thought leadership, digital and print ads, and other marketing materials.
• Develop Encore’s content marketing strategy with collaboration and input from a variety of teams, including Industry Relations, Insights, Product, and the Global Marketing Council.
• Own and drive execution of editorial content calendar across channels.
• Editor and writer of the Encore blog; maintaining consistent publishing schedule and relationships across the company for content production, including Certified Meeting Planners and Subject Matter Experts, and outside the company with industry partners.
• Review social media content to ensure messaging is consistent and aligns with core Encore content pillars.
• Partner with Social Community Specialist and Digital team to leverage best practices, analyze content performance, and establish benchmarks and metrics for content optimization.
• Participate in the development, editing, and distribution of internal communications for the purpose of informing and inspiring team members as needed.
Digital Asset Management
• Manage Encore’s digital asset management tool (library of assets including photos, videos, presentations, sales tools, etc.).
• Cross-collaboration with various departments for up-to-date content, ensuring the library is the single source of truth for the brand.
• Analyze the tools reporting regularly to understand team member usage and maintain structure and collections accordingly.
Sales and Event Content Support
• Partner with Industry Relations team to create content and activations for event marketing materials.
• Strategize, edit, and produce appropriate copy for case studies, proposal templates, and other sales tools help the team win business.
• Support the Digital Marketing Manager in effort to increase lead generation with content for SEM and marketing automation campaigns.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Creative Writing, Public Relations or related field
• 5+ years content development/copywriting experience in a marketing environment; experience in event experiences industry a plus
• Excellent creative writing, editing, proofreading skills
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail
• Ability to develop content for various channels including web, email, print, sales support tools, and internal communications
• Ability to think strategically and leverage institutional knowledge and best practices to develop copy/content aligned with business objectives
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across competing priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress (or comparable open source CMS software), and SharePoint
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Proactively collaborates within marketing and with cross-functional teams in a results-driven, team-oriented environment
• Prior experience collaborating and working with creative agency partners a plus

Work Environment
Office
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.

Salary Pay Range: $78,724.00 - $96,437.00
The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.
