POSITION:                  Marketing Coordinator

REPORTS TO:             Marketing Manager

FLSA STATUS:           Non -Exempt

ASM Global, the world's leading venue management company and producer of live event experiences, has an opening for a full-time Marketing Coordinator at ASM Richmond - Altria Theater & Dominion Energy Center. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with experience in marketing and communications alongside a passion for live events. The individual will work with the Marketing Manager to support sales and marketing efforts for all ticketed performances, as well as premium sales, group sales, private event sales, and other related revenue generating business lines at Altria Theater and Dominion Energy Center. The position reports to the Marketing Manager within the Sales and Marketing department.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Carry out specific marketing efforts related to events through advertising, public relations, and sales as requested by the Director of Sales and MarketingArrange and assist with any marketing needs from show promoters, managers or contacts including event pre-sales, on-sales, and on event days.Design and distribute promotional advertisements for digital, social, print, and other promotional materials and channels as neededUpdate and maintain venue marketing assets, including poster cases, digital marquees, LED signage, print displays, and internal directional signagePlace paid advertisements in market on behalf of shows as directed by Marketing ManagerCreate and distribute outgoing email marketing messages, maintaining customer databasesMaintain a variety of files and records of information such as budget, sales and marketing reports, event files, expense records and other related documents.Maintain customer satisfaction analysis, sales programs and service programsHelp coordinate development and activities of a Street Team to promote eventsCoordinate media and photo passes, supervising on-site personnel as directed by tours/artistsAssist Marketing Manager with show coverage, as neededAssist with clerical duties as neededAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field or similar experienceMinimum of 1-2 years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations, or Sales in the entertainment industry or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and TeamsDemonstrable graphic design skills with a supporting portfolio and a strong creative eye for visual compositionExperience with email marketing databases, Mailchimp or HIVE experience preferredExperience with content management systems and creating website content for commercial businesses preferredExperience measuring data and reporting on analytics, Google Analytics experience preferredExperience working with a major market venue and/or media channel preferredPhotography/videography experience a plus

Skills and Abilities

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and/or IllustratorStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to read, write, and understand EnglishMust be able to collaborate and work well with others, both inside and outside of the marketing department, working as part of a creative teamAbility to give and receive constructive criticismMust be a "Self-Starter" and have the ability to work with limited supervisionEffective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator). Must be technologically savvy. Basic HTML is

preferred. Knowledge of digital media and social network platforms is a must (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, YouTube, etc.)
