Responsibilities This role requires a blend of creativity, organization, and collaboration to drive effective marketing and communications efforts and supports a variety of initiatives as part of an integrated marketing plan aligned with the system’s business strategy. Working closely with team members, the specialist executes internal and external communications, develops impactful marketing content, and leverages both traditional and digital tactics to engage consumers and educate patients. This role 1) collaborates with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives, 2) represents the organization professionally to strengthen relationships and enhance brand awareness, 3) supports strategic community initiatives that align with organizational goals, and 4) assists with office operational functions to ensure efficient workflow and team support. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. Qualifications Position Qualifications: Performs productively in a fast-paced work environment, is well organized, detail-oriented, and flexible. Must work well independently and in a team or group setting, and have strong interpersonal communication skills. Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills, strong project management skills, as well as critical thinking abilities. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Knowledge of desktop publishing, graphic design, Adobe Photoshop, or Canva is a plus. Must have excellent time management skills and a strong working knowledge of marketing communication practices. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects to completion within deadlines. Media relations a plus. High level of initiative with the ability to self-motivate. Must demonstrate the ability to execute marketing communication plans to increase awareness and drive system volume. Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business and or related field required. Minimum Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years marketing, communications or related experience required. Healthcare marketing and communications preferred. Digital marketing experience a plus Required Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license and insurance required. Working Conditions: Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works primarily inside and may occasionally work outdoors. Frequent contact with various Medical Center staff, sales representatives, employees and community members. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity. Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate point of sales system, computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push over 75 lbs. Other physical requirements include the ability to bend, kneel, crouch, twist, balance and reach above, out and below. Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary. For Remote and Hybrid Remote positions: If deemed operationally necessary, position may be required to report in and work on-site.
