The Marketing Director, Pursuits leads the marketing pursuits team for a specified region, proving overall leadership and direction for all marketing activities related to individual business pursuits. The Marketing Director, Pursuits works in close collaboration with business development, operations, and the centralized marketing team to provide pursuit-related marketing leadership around the development and implementation of processes and strategies focused on winning new work, from opportunity identification through contract signing. Specific responsibilities include pursuit and capture planning, proposal development, the creation of customized collateral and statements of qualification (SOQ), interview coaching and preparation, information collection and organization, sub-consultant teaming support, and other tasks as assigned. Additionally, the Marketing Director, Pursuits is responsible for resource planning and managing and mentoring marketing team members supporting the pursuits process. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing a marketing team along with developing talent.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the regional operations and business development teams on the development of annual business plans.Participate in regular pipeline meetings and play an active role in the development of capture plans for major pursuits.Work with operations and business development to manage the proposal process, develop proposal sections and scopes of work, and help ensure each proposal is developed and submitted in a timely manner.Help ensure proposals are tracked in the CRM system.Prepare customized collateral and SOQs as required throughout the sales process for each opportunity.Work with the operations and business development teams to prepare client presentations including presentation slide decks, rehearsal/coaching, and graphics/leave behinds.Provide up-to-date information on regional projects and services and input data into the company’s various databases.Track and report on pursuit specific KPIs.Work with operations, business development, and the centralized marketing teams to ensure sub-consultant teaming opportunities are supported and tracked/recorded in the CRM database.Demonstrate leadership, versatility, flexibility, enthusiasm, and creativity while working in an environment with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.QA/QC of all materials going into a proposal or SOQ.Develop a comprehensive understanding of all company services, and all materials and information required for proposal submissions.Support the collection and management of data and information from their region for use in proposal and other pursuit-related materials.Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions and additional duties assigned by supervisor.Other duties as assigned.Attendance at work during normal business hours.Knowledge & Skills Required:

Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required.
Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, 3+ years managing a marketing team, 5+ years of proposal experience.
