The specific hours and days of work are flexible including days, nights, and weekends depending on event needs. This position is anticipated to last through the end of August or September. This Student Worker position will provide event and clerical support to the Marketing Department at the Minnesota State Lottery Roseville Office Head Quarters. Job duties include but are not limited to: + Planningandpreparing foreventsandcontests + Driving the MarketingVehicle + Workingat events + Performing administrative duties + Work at assigned special events or promotions and may require some travel. + Current enrollment in a post-secondary or graduate study program*. Please ensure that your application/resume clearly indicates the college where you are currently enrolled as well as your anticipated graduation date. **Minimum Qualifications** **_To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes the following qualifications and include the month and year for each job held._** Skill in: + Provide prompt and accurate information to clients, coworkers, and customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence + Using spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel to enter, compile, store and retrieve data Knowledge of: + Word processing sufficient to use software, such as Microsoft Word to create, format, edit, print and save a variety of documents AND + Must have a valid Class D driver's license. + ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENT WORKERS: To be eligible for employment as a Student Worker, you must be a student enrolled in an educational program or planning to enroll within three months. You may be "off" for the summer or for one semester/quarter and remain employed as a Student Worker, but such absences cannot exceed one semester/quarter in a year. If you are enrolled at a credit-granting institution, you must carry at least six semester (nine quarter) credits. If enrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, you must be taking two or more classes per semester/quarter. Any lesser credit (class) load shall be treated as a semester/quarter off. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least two courses or making progress on a dissertation. You will be asked to complete an Educational Verification form prior to appointment. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working in an office/clerical setting. **Physical Requirements** _Ability to move and/or transport items weighing up to 50 lbs. and work in extreme weather conditions._ **Additional Requirements** This position requires successful completion of the following: The Minnesota State Lottery will conduct a criminal background check and fingerprint check at the time of job offer for all prospective new employees.
