The Marketing Events Manager is an experienced event marketing professional who is responsible for supporting the strategic planning and execution of industry events, councils and association memberships. In this role, the successful candidate will be strategic, data driven and deliver exceptional execution of event activations. They will also possess a client-centric and relationships-oriented mindsight, working directly with Sales, Marketing and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to their aligned segment.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include end to end event management for advisory and executive council events including but not limited to event budget, invite strategy and execution, logistics, contracting, venue management, transportation, content management, onsite experience, production and AVAlign yearly council member engagement strategy with stakeholder priorities and initiatives including membership oversight and email newsletter project managementSecondary responsibilities include coordinating logistical and tactical needs for segment specific industry events and Zelis hosted client events, including but not limited to event budget management, invite strategy and execution, logistics, contracting, venue management, transportation, content management, onsite experience, production and AV, sponsorship and booth activations, pre- and post-conference campaigns and communicationsCreate event best practice guides and templates for both industry and hosted eventsEnd to end project management of virtual events and webinars including invite strategy and execution, platform management, experiences, during event support, content management, etc.Partners with the Marketing Operations Coordinator on budget and vendor management processes, including new vendor submissions, and legal and finance agreements.Provide on-going evaluation across each event and membership and how to adapt for Zelis’ current, and future revenue generating and brand positioning needsManage, measure and report on effectiveness of events and other activation tactics, including key metrics, KPIs and benchmarksLeads project management of all events/memberships in partnership with Sales and segment marketingWhat you’ll bring to the team:
Understanding of how events support the full customer journey, including both revenue generation and brand buildingExperience managing external and hosted event engagements and sponsorshipsProficient with MS Office programs and related marketing/ communications technologies - Hubspot and Cvent are not required, but a plusPreferred: Management of third-party memberships/associationEducation + Background:
Minimum of 5-7 years of marketing experienceBS Marketing, Business, or related degreeHealthcare (tech) experience preferredStrong communication/writing skills (including some copywriting)Highly organized and detail-orientedProven history of being both strategic and analytical in prior rolesTravel up to 15% of the timeLocation and Workplace Flexibility: We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India.
