We are seeking a creative thinker with a passion for content creation and communication to play a role on the Maaco marketing team as our Content & Communications Intern. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our brand communications and weekly newsletter on the Axios platform while honing your writing and editorial skills in addition to helping with our social media content. Applicants will receive guidance and support from a dedicated manager during their internship.

Responsibilities:

Collect, edit, and proofread engaging content for our weekly newsletter.Collaborate with the team to generate fresh ideas and innovative solutions for content strategy.Assist with drafting and research for press releases, media alerts, and other short-form and/or long-form communications as needed.Support social media management and content creation as needed.

Qualifications:

Current Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Communication StudiesMust live in the Charlotte, NC areaExcellent communication skills and aptitude for collaborative environmentStrong attention to detail and excellent writing skills.Creative mindset with a desire to drive impact and bring fresh ideas to the table.Experience in copywriting (short-form and/or long-form content).Familiarity with social media management tools and platforms.Exposure to drafting press releases or media alerts.
