Marketing Manager, Consumer Insights


The ideal candidate is data-driven, strategic, and skilled at translating complex data sets into meaningful recommendations that shape marketing initiatives and business outcomes. Reporting to the National Director, Brand Strategy and Insights, this role will influence SFC’s next stage of growth by ensuring that data-driven insights lead to better business decisions and customer outcomes.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Own the collection, integration, and visualization of marketing, sales, and customer experience data. Build dashboards and reports that highlight key business insights, using tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, Excel or equivalent platforms. Provide regular reporting on customer trends, market shifts, and recommendations for business improvements. Present findings and strategic recommendations to leadership in a compelling and digestible format.

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence

Conduct ongoing market research, leveraging first and third party data, to track industry, consumer, and macroeconomic trends, providing regular reports and proactive recommendations. Lead initiatives such as Voice of the Customer (VOC) programs, competitor benchmarking, and ad hoc first party research, as needed. Deliver actionable intelligence that shapes Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Product strategies.

Customer Insights & Journey Mapping

Act as the primary advocate for the customer by identifying and mapping key customer touchpoints, friction points, and opportunities for improvement. Drive customer-centric decision-making across departments by presenting compelling data-driven recommendations. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and improve the most critical aspects of the customer journey.

Customer Segmentation & Lifetime Value Optimization

Develop and refine customer segmentation models to improve targeting, personalized marketing, and engagement strategies. Leverage first- and third-party data to create predictive models that enhance customer retention and maximize Lifetime Value (LTV). Work with Digital and CRM teams to integrate segmentation insights into omnichannel marketing efforts.

Customer Sentiment & Feedback Management

Manage the Applause platform across all SFC brands, ensuring a seamless process for onboarding new locations and brands. Identify key “moments of truth” in the customer journey and build improved customer sentiment reporting. Partner with Operations and Customer Service to ensure insights lead to measurable improvements in customer satisfaction and experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure insights are not only shared but acted upon. Partner with external agencies and research vendors to enhance data capabilities. Serve as the go-to expert for all customer-related analytics and insights. Other duties as assigned

 

Education, Experience and Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field required. 5+ years of experience working in insights, analytics, market research or related field. Experience supporting a nationwide organization strongly preferred. Experience working with multi-brand organizations or franchise models preferred. Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, etc.). Strong understanding of customer segmentation, journey mapping, and consumer behavior analysis. Experience with survey platforms, customer sentiment tools, and VOC (Voice of the Customer) programs. Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to leadership. Strong problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills, with a high attention to detail. Experience working with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools is a plus. Ability to build internal and external relationships.

Salary Range - $84,700 - $95,000 Depending on Experience
