Overview This role of Marketing Manager will act as the bridge between strategy and delivery of marketing activity. This is an important role working closely with senior marketing staff and business teams to support the growth aspirations of Gallagher Re. The Marketing Manager delivers marketing that drives engagement with customers, generates leads, and helps to deliver our brand vision and framework. The Marketing Manager is a natural collaborator, driven individual with experience handling multiple projects and priorities at one time, and will understand how to brief in a succinct yet impactful way to get results. How you'll make an impact Support senior marketing colleagues in developing and delivering marketing activities (utilizing the full breadth of marketing’s capabilities) that align with business objectives Ensure all marketing activity is grounded in a strong understanding of business goals/products/industry/customer needs and competitive opportunities. Ensure all marketing activity follows the processes and best practices required to deliver excellent results. Work with agencies, media and external suppliers to the marketing team as required. Work with internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure that marketing plans are delivered to deadline and achieve desired results, plus frequently evaluate activity against the plan and review post completion for areas to improve. Understand the business revenue targets across our diverse Gallagher Re businesses, and work with senior marketing colleagues to: Proactively identify new marketing opportunities for lead generation, as well as responding to BAU requests from the business. Challenging the boundaries of marketing ensuring all forms of media and channels are deployed when delivering campaigns. Contributing to the development of the brand to ensure it remains relevant in a competitive environment. Ensuring necessary stakeholder and compliance sign off for marketing activities. Being creative in the approach to marketing and be willing to test/trial using new activities. Understand campaign KPIs and communicate clearly back to the business as required, in particular analytics. Keeping an eye on industry and wider marketing best practice, and the activities of competitors, to ensure we stay one step ahead. Stakeholder Accountabilities Effectively develop key relationships within the business teams and wider marketing and communications community and across the international Gallagher group. Demonstrate clear understanding of our business division’s core customer groups and support in proposing marketing propositions which meet the goals and objectives of the division, with the ability to flex the plans as circumstances dictate. People Leadership Accountabilities Coach junior members of the team to maintain our high standards of delivery and assist with prioritization of workloads Foster an environment of collaboration and communication encouraging junior members to come to you for help when needed. Be able to communicate the business strategy, and how marketing’s strategy interlinks with divisional objectives to ensure each team member feels that they are contributing to the success of the business Operational Excellence Apply project and campaign management tools and best practice to ensure projects are delivered effectively, efficiently and to budget. Always look for efficiencies in respect of how the team is working; identify issues and challenges early on and work with marketing leadership to develop tangible ways to improve performance. Understand the changing regulatory and legal environment around marketing activities, communicate these to the business as required and ensure risks are factored in to all strategies and activities, flagging potential risks as required to senior management and putting in place all measures to suitable mitigate risk. Adhere to brand guidelines and become an active champion of the brand. Ensure necessary business and FinProms/compliance sign off is obtained in a timely fashion and in full adherence with corporate policies. Correct use of company systems and to the defined process, including Salesforce.com, and other Marketing platforms. Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulation, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting customers at the heart of our business. About You Required: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism. Minimum of 3 years related experience. Excellent verbal, written and presentation development skills. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools. Highly Preferred: 4-7 years experience; insurance or professional services preferred Experience of execution of marketing projects adhering to best practice marketing principles. Experience of delivering omni channel marketing campaigns, and hitting associated KPIs. Experience of leading internal and external stakeholders, ranging from the business divisions, cross functional teams, and agencies Skills/other Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the Company, including senior and executive management. Working within structured project methodology and reporting. Excellent planning skills and ability to anticipate future outcomes and handle risks to projects.
