Job Description
Scope
The Marketing Manager is responsible for proposing and implementing marketing strategies to promote revenue growth and generation in the resort's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Strategically activate key marketing messages and promotions across both print and digital platforms, including website (brand and third- party), email, paid search, SEO, display, mobile and social to drive awareness and grow e-commerce revenue. This is a property based position at the Rosewood Mandarina.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for proposing and implementing marketing strategies to promote revenue growthProactively manage the e-commerce digital agency and execute strategies including paid search, SEO and display re-marketing, leading the monthly calls to review results and set strategies for future monthsCreate email marketing campaigns for the hotel and relevant outlets, including messaging, targeting and measurementWork closely with Director of Sales & Marketing to support the execution of sales & marketing strategy, including marketing communications, public relations, social media & digital marketingAct as the lead on the resort’s website content, ensure all information, promotions and photography are accurate at all timesAct as the lead on Rosewood Elite website, ensuring all information, promotions and photography are accurate and refreshed bi-monthlyFind new marketing, outreach and partnership opportunities to increase brand image and exposure of productsManage content and updates across all third-party websites, including OTA’sEnsure resort photography is up to date across all platforms and that it adheres to Rosewood’s visual identity standardsStrong copy-writing skills as it relates to brochure text, direct email campaigns, sales promotional material and resort promotions/advertisingWork with Revenue Management to ensure maximum potential of key marketing strategies including, but not limited to, third party websitesAct as the lead contact with the Corporate Digital Marketing & eCommerce team for Rosewood MandarinaDevelop promotional material for sales & marketing teamDevelop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customersProfessionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and eventsContribute to the annual marketing plans and budget process, and maintain expenses within the budgeted guidelinesMaintain a respectful working relationship with on-property colleagues and facilitate flow of communicationMaintain knowledge of all Rosewood Hotels & Resorts to facilitate cross marketing. Build relationship with Sales/Marketing counterparts from Regional Sales Office and sister hotels to relay leads and requests.Prepare and submit timely monthly reports to Regional Director of Sales & MarketingParticipate in scheduled sales and/or marketing meetings, training and other strategy related meetings as requiredAll other duties as requiredSkills and Abilities:
Four years of digital/e-commerce experience; previous experience with a luxury/hospitality brand preferred.Knowledge of content management and email marketing platforms; previous experience using Adobe AEM platform, or similar, and Photoshop/InDesign preferred.Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/communications or related discipline.Excellent writing, communication & presentation skills with the ability to interpret and adhere to brand standards.An eye for design and creativity to communicate the hotel across digital platforms.Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams on property including operations, catering, and sales.Ability to manage strategy and analyze data with key recommendations from digital agency, as well as other agency partners.Knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, including website, email, paid search, SEO, display, mobile and socialPreferred proficiency with analytics and design platforms such as Google Analytics and Adobe PhotoshopStrong English language, grammar and editorial skillsRequires excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independentlyAbility to establish, monitor and achieve goalsAbility to act independently with minimal or no supervisionMust possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Opera, and SalesforcePerform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracyPrioritize, organize and follow-up on all actionsBe a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgmentFollow directions thoroughly and can work with minimal supervisionWork cohesively with co-workers as part of a teamMaintain confidentiality of guest and client information and pertinent hotel dataTravel Requirements:

Reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing.Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property.Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity.Occasional need to stand for long periods of time.Lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. occasionally.Higher weight threshold may apply when traveling with luggage.Vision requirements: constant need to view small print.Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arm's’ reach
