Illumination Foundation (IF) is a growing non-profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children’s and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire. Job Description The Marketing Manager position is responsible for planning, managing, and implementing all the marketing strategies, internal and external communication strategies, digital and social media strategies, website, storytelling and content development, event marketing, special campaigns/initiatives, and other related projects in order to promote and increase brand awareness and position Illumination Foundation a leader in providing housing and healthcare for those experiencing homelessness. Marketing manager generates donor interest toward our mission and services across various media channels. The salary range for this position is $66,560.00 - $77,000.00 per annum, depending on experience. Responsibilities + Marketing Strategy Development: Drive the creation and implementation of cohesive marketing strategies to foster growth with partners, donors, and sponsors from creation to execution. Collaborate with senior leadership to set goals and marketing strategies in alignment with Illumination Foundations vision and mission. Translate strategic vision into operational goals, ensuring alignment across geographies and business sites. Marketing manager generates donor interest toward our mission and services across various media channels.  + Operations: Develop, create and manage all external communications. Oversee consistent use of Illumination Foundation branding. Plan and implement marketing strategies, events (print online, emails, signage, and other event marketing deliverables), campaigns (including e-mails and digital fundraising) and projects. Content creation, storytelling, collateral development and design for marketing materials, events, including e-blasts, fact sheets/brochures, advertising, digital and social media. Develop and manage internal communication including weekly What’s Up at IF, monthly internal newsletter and quarterly Town Hall. Maintain employee portal, Illumination Foundation website management and giving platform. + Social Media Strategy & Content Development: This includes creating a regular editorial calendar covering events, programs and services, and client stories that relate to IF. Continue to communicate with IF Directors and Managers to secure content as it happens. + Establish quantifiable goals for increasing social media followers across all platforms but focusing on our most influencing platform. + The Social Media Plan should include analytics on the different platforms we promote through, and how content needs to differ based on those particular content areas. + Track improvement and gains across all social media platforms and report regularly to the team on gains and areas of opportunity. + Branding: Oversee consistent use of Illumination Foundation branding + Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale marketing team enterprise wide, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. + Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with regional partners.  + Performance Metrics: Design, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and analyze event and marketing efforts' effectiveness, making data-driven decisions. + Collaboration: Work closely with customers and cross-functional teams, including development, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of events and marketing strategies with company-wide initiatives.  Manage external designers, printers, mail houses, photographers and vendors to support organizational efforts.  + Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to inform business decisions and strategy pivot. Lead market research initiatives, in concert with our VP of Development to identify gaps and opportunities, shaping Illumination Foundation offerings accordingly. + Budget Management and Resource Management: Oversee and manage the events and marketing budget efficiently.  + Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and refine events and marketing processes and strategies for better efficiency and results. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.  + Photography and Videography: Ensure professional photography and videography for media and social media, collateral, and manage photo libraries. + Networking: and development as appropriate at events, fundraisers, educational seminars and community/partnership meetings. + Contribute to the direction of the Donor Retention and Donor Acquisition strategies with the team including new donors, recurring donors, and long-term donors. Suggest strategies as well as policies and procedures for maximizing donor giving and donor communication and new and innovative methods for Donor Acknowledgement. + Contribute to all IF related events, including but not limited to: Chef’s Table, Women’s Philanthropy Luncheon, Carnival for Kids, community engagement events, and others. + Attend weekly team meetings and contribute to the overall success and strategic goals of the Communications and Development team. Provide oversight in achieving team/departmental goals. + Work effectively to support all teams within IF. + Have a working knowledge of the Bloomerang database system. Preferred Experience/Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field + 5 years of experience in strategic marketing, branding or related field. + Successful track record in senior marketing role and campaign creation + Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills + Experience in digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing + Strong business management, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills + Proficient in developing and executing strategic events and marketing plans + Strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills + Proficiency with HTML, content management systems, and design software + CRM experience is very helpful + Bilingual in Spanish and English (A plus, but not required) + Valid driver's license required + Advanced computer skills including the ability to prepare complex correspondence and reports in Microsoft Word and summarize and report data in Excel spreadsheets.
