Description
The Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau actively promotes Lee County, FL, as a tourist destination to global audiences. By creating and implementing marketing campaigns and branding initiatives that encourage leisure and business travelers to visit the destination, we help stimulate the local economy when they book stays with our lodging partners, visit a variety of attractions, attend local events, book excursions, and eat at our restaurants.
We are looking for an experienced, creative and results-driven Marketing Manager to help us deliver on our strategic vision and mandate. You will be a key member of the marketing team who will work closely with the Marketing Director to continuously refine core brand and messaging strategy, as well as develop and manage campaigns and programs. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of brand-building and leading successful projects across collaborative teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Help shape the core brand identity and messaging strategy, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and visual identity.
+ Work in collaboration with our advertising agency to drive campaign development and implement integrated marketing programs, while managing end-to-end project timelines, deliverables, and key performance indicators to ensure timely execution.
+ Oversee video, print, broadcast and digital assets production.
+ Collaborate with the internal teams to ensure marketing efforts align with their goals and objectives.
+ Analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
+ Be a steward of the brand internally and externally, ensuring all channels and departments are working toward the same brand vision.
+ Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform brand strategy and maintain a first-mover position in the market.
+ Lend support on other marketing initiatives as needed, and work on other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, Licensing
Minimum Requirements:
+ Education: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, equivalent to a four (4) year degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or a closely related field.
+ Experience: O ne (1) year of tourism, marketing, or closely related experience.
+ License: Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
Preferred Requirements:
+ Five years’ work experience in marketing within a hospitality or tourism-related environment.
Supplemental Information
+ Proficiency in traditional and digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and website management.
+ Strong creative writing and content creation skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in utilizing marketing analytics and reporting tools to measure campaign effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.
+ Resourceful, creative self-starter who takes initiative to learn processes and get things done.
+ Critical thinking and a strong customer-centric mindset.
The work hours and days for this position are Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and may also include evenings, weekends, and compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations

Retirees of the Investment Plan are eligible for renewed membership in the Investment Plan only. FRS reemployment rules apply for both.
