Ecolab is seeking a Marketing Manager to help our sale teams and customers meet their goals, differentiate Ecolab from our competition, and impact the achievement of our aggressive growth targets in AP region. Working with internal regional stakeholders for direct business and indirect business via distributors there is an opportunity for a marketing manager to join the team to support, retain and grow our Life Sciences contamination control business.
Reporting directly into the EU and APAC Senior Marketing Manager for Pharma and Personal Care. Required to be located in Singapore but should require regular travel where required to assist and train the PPC sales teams and distribution partners in AP region.
High level of spoken and written English is requirement. Other languages such as Korean or Japanese would be an optional extra.
Main Responsibilities:
Support sales growth, customer retention and profitability of the business within the business platform by supporting strategic planning and execution of global and regional marketing programs.
Drive marketing efforts of existing and future products.
Work with regional sales team leaders to develop, monitor and grow sales, pipeline and Grow to Win targets and work across regions to drive global innovation
Provide Ecolab regional sales force with leadership and marketing support, including sales tools, training, competitive landscape, intelligence and actionable reporting
Develop in-depth customer insights and market knowledge. Communicate market needs and opportunities.
Develop short and long-term strategies and plans for demand generation, on-going market research, customer needs assessment, assist with sales and inventory forecasting for launch products as well as customer and sales history analysis.
Execute marketing strategies, programs, and pricing strategies which will meet profit objectives for the region, collect & share back competitive/pricing/VOC
Provide an overall balance between strategic marketing and regional execution
Assist in developing sales and customer training programs and sales tools to support the sales force in response to customer and competitive needs.
Provide competitive intelligence to the field sales teams to counter competitive offers.
SKU Management – collaborate with global team on local requirements
Stay current on market standards, trends and practices and understand impact on Ecolab product line and business.
Lead cross functional teams, as needed, to deliver project results.
Support regional sales activation such as launches and regional growth plans, track campaigns & launch success / Reinforce / Propose adjustments, lead the development of distributor specific marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Segment and Product portfolio marketing team, Lead customer seminars and joint exhibition planning and etc.
Regular connections and sales enablement in region (first POC)
Support new market expansion activities through brand awareness development and portfolio positioning.
Manage events in line with global events plan, manage strategy & messaging for small local events within budget (tbc by MarCom) – Sales Support resp. for logistics.
Events, webinars follow regional dashboard for close out opportunity after leads loaded
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of professional experience or MBA in Marketing with 5 years of experience in marketing supporting pharma industry.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet
Preferred Qualifications:
Business-to-business marketing experience
Ability to relate to influential people and complex organizational structures; strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills; setting vision and strategy, planning, critical thinking, orchestrating cross-functionally, overseeing multiple project elements and proven track record of results
Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, good attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential
Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
