The Opportunity: 

The Disease Area Marketing Manager is responsible for the development, delivery, and ownership of the Pathology Lab business’ priority disease area strategic framework to retain and drive new customer growth. Leveraging market dynamics, market research, competitive intelligence, the voice of sales, the voice of customers, and previous learnings, this role includes a variety of tasks to design strategy and content that leads to a cohesive and profitable effort. In addition, the Disease Area Marketing Manager should possess a strategic mindset, professional curiosity, creative thought, and a bias toward action to inform and activate promotional activities that drive business objectives. 

This individual will be accountable for the holistic Pathology Lab Disease Area Marketing Plan and Execution, inclusive of but not limited to: value proposition, positioning, segmentation, messaging, campaigns, multichannel approach, and associated tactics and tools, among others. In addition, this individual will be required to effectively collaborate and partner with a cross-functional team including various local and global stakeholders as well as Pharmaceutical partners where a commercial collaboration is in place.

Generate innovative ideas to grow our disease state solutions and market share, by developing and executing a comprehensive and cohesive portfolio strategy to accomplish business objectives. 

Influence and partner with key internal and external stakeholder groups to most effectively leverage shared channels to drive cohesive execution across our portfolio. 

Prioritize Voice of Customer, competitive intelligence, and overarching market insights to inform and shape strategic marketing plans aligned to the customer journey.

 Develop disease area mastery to include understanding of the market segments, channel effectiveness, analysis of key metrics that define success, share performance, trends, competition, customer critical success factors and needs through interaction with customers for integration with programs. 

Apply critical thinking to connect the value of our individual products to the holistic value proposition of our portfolio solutions, differentiating Roche from our competition. 

Navigate ambiguity and dynamic situations with confidence: forward-thinking, simplify the complex and communicate direction clearly and consistently.  

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field

5 years of marketing, business, sales or related business experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Commercial experience in healthcare, diagnostics or Pharmaceutical

5 years or more of Oncology experience

3 years or more of Marketing Experience

Ability to travel overseas

Relocation benefits are not available for this posting

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $91,400 - $169,800.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
