Marketing Manager Southern Division

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Manage, develop and train field staff to build a high performing team and grow premium within the division. Develop goals designed to create clear expectations around duties and performance of individuals and team to achieve Rain and Hail and Division plan, goals and expectations. Monitor individual and team results. Conduct formal performance reviews. Ensure field staff are well versed in products, Rain and Hail systems and sales tactics enabling them to meet and exceed their goals and expectations to support agents and policyholders. Marketing Manager will use information available from Rain and Hail and other sources to identify profitable growth opportunities consistent with Rain and Hail’s plan. Analyze existing and proposed products and conditions that might impact profitability or create opportunity. Marketing Manager should be skilled at closing so that they can not only demonstrate a successful close to the team but also assist in landing significant accounts. Minimum of 50% of this position’s time will be spent outside the office traveling with field staff to visit key customers and prospects, building and maintaining solid relationships. Monitor staff development through joint travel (expected 80% to 90% of travel time will be spent in joint visits with field staff visiting agents and prospects). Ensure quality production and delivery of agent training. Follow company policies and standards.

Advanced proficiency in marketing, negotiation, communication and problem solving. Comprehensive knowledge of crop insurance products and services. Ability to effectively articulate company philosophy and market strategies. Proven ability to lead a team and deliver desired results. Strong leadership skills. Exceptional internal and external relationship management skills. Strong understanding of all types of agency operations. Strong account management skills.         Ability to maintain confidentiality related to all duties and responsibilities, including marketing information, product knowledge, pricing, processes and systems. Ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of activity. Ability to travel away from home for extended periods and on short notice. Ability to drive a vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Baccalaureate degree in Agricultural Business or related field required with 3 or more years of crop insurance sales or service.
