Job Description:

The Marketing Senior Officer assists in the development and execution of product marketing strategies and is responsible for collecting and analyzing market and competitive data to assess the performance of UPS’s products and services. He/she integrates marketing data and information from multiple sources to produce standard and ad-hoc marketing reports for consumption by internal stakeholders to guide business decisions. The Marketing Senior Officer reports to and supports the Marketing Assistant Manager in the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to assess market size, share, opportunities, and threats. Analyze competitors’ strengths, weaknesses, pricing, and strategies, providing regular benchmarking reports for strategic decision-making

Special Commodities Management: Coordinates cross-functional approvals of ISC requests (i.e. special commodities program) at the Region level for intra- and inter-regional requests. Facilitate informed decision-making by aligning strategic objectives with regulatory requirements, mitigating potential risks, and optimizing market entry strategies

Data Analysis & Strategic Insights: Analyze data from multiple sources (e.g. Internal data, market reports, customer data, industry publications, etc.) to identify trends and opportunities. Translate findings into actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making and present findings through reports, dashboards, and presentations to key stakeholders

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration: Partner and work closely with internal teams (marketing, sales, operations, leadership) to integrate market intelligence into strategic decision-making. Manage relationships with external research vendors to enhance insights and optimize the market intelligence function

Communication & Presentation: Regularly share insights across the organization to keep stakeholders informed of trends and competitive movements. Develop clear reports and deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership, ensuring key findings and recommendations drive strategic decisions

Requirements:

Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field

1-3 years of experience in market intelligence, market research, or competitive analysis preferred, but not compulsory

Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into clear, actionable insights

Competent in Microsoft Office Applications and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and experience with market research platform preferred

Strong oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of competitive intelligence practices and industry research methodologies preferred

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities and deadline
