Gensler’s Sydney office is seeking a creative, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our team as a Marketing Specialist. Marketing Specialists are the key producers of materials that support Gensler’s business development efforts. They work under the direction of office leadership, senior staff, and marketing leaders to write, design, and produce proposals, presentations, and other collateral / thought leadership used to help the firm win work. Marketers also support the general activities of the office/regional marketing studio, such as strategy, positioning, storytelling, photography, graphic design, and knowledge management.
Your Role
We are looking for a creative marketer who is great at managing multiple priorities, who is naturally creative and a self-starter. Ideally you will have proven track record in guiding teams through complicated pursuit processes with experience in the Commercial Office, Architecture, Retail, & Hospitality sectors. Our next superstar will be a natural collaborator, eager to lend a hand, share ideas, or even a well-timed meme for morale. Excellent communicators, proactive problem solvers, graphic design wizards, and strategic thinkers will thrive here through an environment that supports thoughtful work and professional growth.
What You Will Do
Participate and lead pursuit strategy and planningWork with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral in alignment with brand standardsDevelop new materials as needed to support business development activities, with a critical emphasis on graphic design capabilitiesPerform multiple marketing efforts against rapid and frequent deadlinesLearn and understand Gensler’s portfolio of work, practice areas, and capabilitiesMaintain marketing collateral, resources, and information systemsWork closely with other marketing team members in the Asia Pacific Middle East region to complete special projects and elevate the quality of our effortsSupport Gensler sustainability goals. Especially on topics relevant to your day-to-day duties.Engage and collaborate with the larger team on sustainability efforts and initiatives.Research and implement ways to optimize our internal workflow environmental impact.Your Qualifications
At least 5 years of professional experience in a marketing position with a design or other creative professional services firm, prior experience in the AEC industry is a plusBachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or BusinessAbility to lead BD conversations confidently and strategically and collaborate closely with leadership on win strategy and storytellingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCreative and impactful graphic design skills, including creating effective presentations and marketing collateralSelf-motivator with strong organizational and intra-personal skills, and a great collaboratorStrong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple projects and deadlinesAbility to work with diverse project teams and in a fast-paced work environmentFluency of InDesign is a mustProficiency in Photoshop / Illustrator is favourable, knowledge of Google Slides, Keynote, and Miro are a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is requiredExperience working with Salesforce a plusBasic understanding of sustainable design and operations is preferred.Please submit a cover letter, CV, and portfolio.
