Marketing Specialist-Full-Time(Bettendorf)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Specialist assists the Marketing Manager, as well as the rest of the marketing team.

 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Deployment and coordination of property contests including ordering, selection of materials, setup, décor, and selection of prize-winners. Management and maintenance of promotional materials such as décor, promotional merchandising, and other promotional tools. Working with event staff to setup events, administer contests, issue prizes, and ensure proper procedures or rules are followed. Management of property social media accounts and property website. Includes coordination with corporate digital team. Responsible for booking and managing property entertainment acts and events. Setup and deploy CMS promotions accurately and in a timely manner. Handle routine customer complaints and incidents and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs. Responsible for inventory control of all documents and supplies used by department personnel. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and/or Entertainment based field preferred or equivalent in professional experience required. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Isle Bettendorf from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

•             Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

•             Ability to stand and walk for entire shift and mobility to move easily around.

•             Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to20 lbs., and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel,                           and balance when stocking, storing, and maneuvering around the work area.

•              Ability to effectively present information and / or a convincing argument to executives

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission.

Periodic access to patron Management and internal controls for Marketing.

 

ACCESS TO GAMING FLOOR:
