Marketing & Sponsorship Assistant (MVO)
Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Marketing and Publicity department located at the Gunfighter Service Center, Mountain Home Air Force Base. This is a Regular Part-Time position (20-34 hours per week) with a guarantee of 20 hours per week. This position is eligible for benefits (Medical, Dental, 401K, Life, and NAF Retirement (upon eligibility). Responsibilities Assists in developing, implementing, and analyzing marketing programs and campaigns for the Force Support Squadron (FSS) to determine the most effective way to meet the target market. Assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation, and increase financial income to FSS activities. Using standard industry practice, computer software and/or instruments specifically developed for use within Services, adapts or modifies research techniques for local purposes. Administers surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists in analyzing results. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs and offers for activity managers. Makes recommendations on program modifications and enhancements. Attends FSS events to provide photographic support and constructive marketing feedback to activity managers. Assists in conducting media relations with on- and off -base media in concert with the Public Affairs Office. Present briefings to base functions such as newcomers' orientation and Commander's call. Manages the Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising Program. Compiles a list of viable events that would benefit from commercial sponsorship funding. Develops outreach materials and solicits sponsorship and advertising from local, regional, national, and international parties. Negotiates mutually beneficial terms and executes all supporting documents in coordination with approving authorities to ensure agreements follow procedural regulations and policies. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience and general knowledge of marketing principles and practices. Experience must demonstrate the ability to design advertising artwork using desktop publishing software, word processing and other software. Must have a general knowledge of sponsorship and advertising principles and perform market research with a desire to build relationships and grow this program. Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with the public and conduct oral presentations. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
