About the MarTech Architect role We are seeking a Marketing Technology Architect to lead enterprise marketing technology implementation and transformation projects. You will serve as a thought leader in using technology and content to connect with consumers in meaningful ways, and in aligning digital strategy with clients' business goals and objectives. The architect is a hybrid business and technical consultant with the ability to operate as a digital tech lead focusing on marketing technology enabled experiences. As the owner of martech solutions for multiple clients, you will be responsible for the overall technological direction for those clients and work as a liaison between strategy, account management and operations team to design and deliver high quality, scalable technical solutions. The successful candidate will be able to display thought leadership, technical prowess, and the ability to manage cross-division, cross-functional teams from project inception to completion. Key responsibilities + Architecting and designing marketing technology solutions that bridge business and technology requirements using a variety of marketing technology platforms (Customer Data Platforms, Marketing Automation tools, Content Management Systems, Mobile Applications and frameworks) + Ability to gather business, marketing, and technical requirements in order to craft a comprehensive and scalable solution. + Ability to develop integrated technology blueprint across all areas of marketing technology with clients' existing technology stack and, as needed, recommend new technology choices that meet the clients' requirements + Architect data feeds, platform configuration, and components needed to run complex automated email campaigns. + Ability to wear multiple technology hats across systems integration, technology solution design and implementation + Ability to break down large-scale projects to manageable tasks, and evaluating which Marketing Cloud components and other technology products and frameworks to use to bring personalized experiences to life + Maintain a solid grasp of digital trends, emerging technologies and how consumers use them, marketing trends, and industry dynamics. As a marketing technology expert, you'll be a resource for Account, Strategy and Creative teams for perspective on digital trends, activation, and implementation + Work closely with account leadership and provide technical leadership internally and externally and help to define strategic opportunities for digital in the overall context of a clients' marketing communications plan. + Ability to map out best-practice architecture and implementation plans of marketing automation/digital marketing platforms + Ability to create and deliver presentations to C-suite level audiences and cross functional teams including marketing and IT leadership + Ability to perform rapid analysis and decomposition of complex business information into technical process components, including in-depth technical architecture diagrams. + Ability to lead discovery and elaboration workshops, which includes the facilitation of large audiences, solution presentations, and prototype demonstrations + Certified and Expert level hands on knowledge in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign. Act as a consultant and technical expert on the platforms to serve clients' needs. + Strong knowledge of APIs, integrations, and database architecture + Ability to lead, motivate and train a team of implementation engineers and consultants You're a good fit for the job if you have: + Endless curiosity and expert knowledge around how marketing technology delivers on personalized customer experiences. + 6+ years of experience including Agency or Consulting experience + Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to conceptualize and communicate highly detailed technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. + Experience in a technical leadership role designing, building, and executing complex automated campaigns in a leading ESP, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget, Oracle Responsys or Eloqua, Adobe Campaign, Epsilon, Acxiom, Yesmail, etc. + Experience leading enterprise scale digital transformation projects and a solid understanding of: + Solution design and architecture + Relational database concepts, with exposure to SQL + Data management, segmentation, and ETL best practices + Scripting and query development + Web analytics + Customer Data platforms + MarTech stack architecture + The ability and desire to roll up your sleeves and build, solution, troubleshoot and execute in the platform when necessary We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
