Marketplace Operations Specialist

Snowflake’s Data Cloud is revolutionizing how businesses access and use data products, enabling seamless discovery and integration of valuable datasets, Applications, and AI models through its Marketplace. As a Marketplace Operations Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in driving the growth of this platform in a dynamic environment.

Your responsibilities will fall into three main areas:

Customer Workflow Management: handle customer-facing processes to maintain a trusted Marketplace, including Zoom interactions and cross-functional collaboration for issue resolution.

Process and Product Improvements: identify and implement solutions to scale operations.

Ad Hoc Projects: lead initiatives such as product launches, migrations, or deep-dives into specific issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content and Provider reviews: assess Marketplace submissions daily for compliance with policies, ensuring quality for consumers while providing prompt feedback to providers.

Support Monetization: help customers navigate billing/monetization workflows and coordinate with Sales on eligibility.

Application testing: test incoming native applications shared in listings to confirm they meet functionality and configuration requirements.

Provider Onboarding: guide providers through onboarding via email and Zoom, clarifying policies and requirements.

Troubleshooting and escalation: resolve customer problems directly or escalate issues to Product with detailed bug reports.

Process and Policy Optimization: use metrics and customer feedback to identify gaps, propose fixes, and streamline operations.

Customer outreach: proactively collect feedback and assist Marketplace users, enhancing their experience.

Learning: stay up-to-date on Snowflake features, policies, and tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS). Engineering or Computer Science preferred.

Experience: 3+ years in analytical roles, product support, technical consulting, or quality assurance (Marketplace or billing experience is a plus).

Technical Skills:

Advanced SQL (joins, subqueries, constraints; daily use).

Knowledge of Python, Scala, or Java is a plus.

Familiarity with public/private/hybrid cloud and common ETL activities.

Communication: strong written and verbal communication; confident working with customers real-time via Zoom.

Problem-Solving: ability to break down complex problems, visualize workflows (e.g., using Lucid or Visio), and prioritize solutions.

Cross-functional collaboration: proven success in cross-functional teamwork in a fast-changing environment.

Track Record: demonstrated ability to meet SLA targets.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $146,000.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
