MCSP LMFT 43 openings - AM Start dates: (every other Monday) POSITION DETAILS Travel or local candidates accepted 26 week contract with opportunity for extensions 5x8s Mon-Fri 7-3:30 OR 4x10s Mon-Thur or Tue-Fri 7-5:30 Orientation is 2 weeks on DAY shift Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm; and first week is classroom orientation pay/bill Orientations are every other Monday (7/1, 7/15 etc) If a candidate backs out after getting an offer, the VMS will not accept them for any California state prison in the future. REQUIREMENTS BLS from American Heart Association 12 months of any LMFT experience CA LMFT License PAY – TRAVEL PACKAGE Classroom Orientation (1st week): $1,962 gross in first week $20 hourly, $749 housing, $413 meals After the 1st week: $2,700 gross per week 5x8 Schedule: $38.50 hourly, $749 housing, $413 meals 4x10 Schedule: $35 hourly, $749 housing, $413 meals NO BONUSES; no exceptions PAY – LOCAL PACKAGE Classroom Orientation (1st week): $1,600 gross in first week $40 hourly After the 1st week: $2,520 gross per week 5x8 Schedule: $63 hourly 4x10 Schedule: $57.28 hourly NO BONUSES; no exceptions The Marriage and Family Counselor provides professionalcounseling services designed in assisting participants in behavior change tomaintain a healthy lifestyle and quality of life through individual and grouptherapy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Provides professional counseling services topatients/clients and their families + May counsel and teach behavior change, stress management,and other program classes, which assist the participants in achievingprescribed objectives + Administers, interprets, and assesses the results of relatedprogram-administered assessment tests + Assists with the development of mind/body programming intowellness programs, i.e. cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, weight management + Provides education to patients and families related toissues that impact patient/client care + Conducts lectures and participates in community outreachactivities + Identifies concerns and makes referrals to other specialistswhen needed + Provides guidance and coaching to staff members working withclients as needed + Adheres to all Amergis and worksite rules, policies andprocedures + Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work orrelated field preferred + Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work,Family Therapy preferred + Licensed as a Professional Counselor, Marriage and FamilyTherapist (LMFT) as required by state regulations and/or contractspecifications + One (1) year of experience in counseling preferred + Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice + Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency programwhen applicable + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site + Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements + Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required + Computer proficiency required + Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
