Amergis Staffing is currently seeking Marriage & FamilyTherapy Associate for the 2024/2025 school year in the Santa Maria, CA area.

 

Position Details:

 

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Hours/Week: 40 hours

Start Date: November 2024

Length: 2024/2025 School Year

Details: Services providedto improve academic, behavioral, and social outcomes among school-aged youth,as well as determining individual student needs.

The Marriage and Family Counselor provides professionalcounseling services designed in assisting participants in behavior change tomaintain a healthy lifestyle and quality of life through individual and grouptherapy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides professional counseling services topatients/clients and their families May counsel and teach behavior change, stress management,and other program classes, which assist the participants in achievingprescribed objectives Administers, interprets, and assesses the results of relatedprogram-administered assessment tests Assists with the development of mind/body programming intowellness programs, i.e. cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, weight management Provides education to patients and families related toissues that impact patient/client care Conducts lectures and participates in community outreachactivities Identifies concerns and makes referrals to other specialistswhen needed Provides guidance and coaching to staff members working withclients as needed Adheres to all Amergis and worksite rules, policies andprocedures Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work orrelated field preferred Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work,Family Therapy preferred Licensed as a Professional Counselor, Marriage and FamilyTherapist (LMFT) as required by state regulations and/or contractspecifications One (1) year of experience in counseling preferred Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice  Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency programwhen applicable Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)  Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site  Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements   Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required   Computer proficiency required  Must be at least 18 years of age  Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs  *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.  About Amergis Amergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has served our clients and communities by connecting people to the work that matters since 1988.
