Join our Marsh McLennan Summer Internship, a 10-week experience for our interns to have an opportunity to work within our Marsh business, including a rotation with Guy Carpenter. With Marsh as a global leader in insurance broking and risk management and Guy Carpenter as a powerful reinsurance brokering expertise, interns will work directly with advisors and brokers to help clients identify risks to their people, property, or financial and strategic goals, offering hands-on experience in risk management and insurance broking.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
At Marsh McLennan, our teams are integral in helping clients manage and reduce risks in real-world scenarios like medical pandemics, environmental catastrophes, and financial scandals. As part of our team, you'll shadow and work alongside our brokers and risk advisors to help assess risks, build relationships with insurance companies, and secure competitive insurance quotes using your negotiation skills. By doing this, you'll contribute to making a significant impact in helping our clients minimize their overall risk costs in today’s world.
During this 10-week internship, summer interns will build a foundation in:
Basic knowledge and understanding of the (re)insurance industry.
Hands-on experience working in the various lines of the (re)insurance business.
Leadership and professional etiquette skills while promoting teamwork amongst Bermuda interns.
Partner with (re)insurance associations in Bermuda to support and promote industry initiatives.
A TYPICAL DAY COULD INCLUDE:
Exposure to diverse client accounts ranging from small local businesses to Fortune 500 companies
Work alongside colleagues on accounts and learn from our Senior Leaders, Account Executives, and Brokers:
Shadowing, creating and/or expanding benchmarking reports
Preparing presentations for client and or prospect/meetings
Developing internal and external renewal strategy documents
Building a network of colleagues at all levels of the organization and within the industry across the region.

Current juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026

Applicants must have legal work authorization in Bermuda on a permanent and ongoing basis.
