Job DescriptionPerform method development, feasibility, qualification and/or validation of methods in support of large moleculte biopharmaceutical products using various analytical techniques including SV-AUC, CD, FTIR, IF, EF, DSC, Mass Spec.
Document work as required for GMP compliance
Perform tests accurately
Troubleshoot method and instrumentation problems
Use office and instrumentation specific computer software including Empower
Produce documents (e.g., methods and client reports)
Develop and execute validation plans
Give presentations for training and client reviews
Train technical staff
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate would possess:
Experience running biophysical instrumentation (SV-AUC, CD, FTIR,IF, MS EF, DSC)
Experience with Protein Sciences.
Experience in characterization of proteins and glycoproteins by Mass Spec.
Experience with High Order Structural Elucidation
Experience using Biophysical Techniques
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skill
Theoretical understanding of large molecule biochemistryExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D in biophysical sciences or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
Experience with characterizating proteins and glycoproteins by Mass Spec.
Minimum 3-5 years in the bio/pharmaceutical industry
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
