Overview As a Massage Therapist at Loma de Vida, you will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will provide a variety of touch modalities for our guests as listed in the Spa Menu which include massage and body treatments. By using outstanding guest service, you will also suggest products and services to meet the individual needs of each guest. The Server shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Resort and Spa Culture as well as promoting La Cantera Resort and Spa as both the Destination and Employer of Choice! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION To perform all massage services including Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Prenatal massages and body treatments, following the established protocols, and allotted treatment times. To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner. Provide the highest level of personalized guest service while maintaining an enthusiastic and helpful attitude. To conserve and monitor supplies and assets of the spa. Complete shift checklists daily, replenishing supplies, cleaning equipment and re-stocking laundry. To attend all scheduled treatment and product knowledge training sessions. To directly set and maintain high standards of service and cleanliness. To assist in the training of other team members as directed. Assist with special projects, events and promotions as needed. To promote spa services and products throughout the property. To use available time to help with spa operations as requested. To recommend additional treatments to guests as appropriate. To suggest in written format home care products and treatments as appropriate. To represent the Loma de Vida Spa and La Cantera Resort in a positive and professional manner as requested. To continually market the spa internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships. To comply with all company policies and procedures. To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions. To always maintain the safety of work areas. Follow all company safety standards, including proper equipment handling to avoid injury to yourself and others. Attend all mandatory meetings as directed. To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed. Qualifications Ability to communicate in English is required. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years’ experience working in a luxury spa setting. Minimum of 750 hours of massage certification. Proficient in at least three additional specialty modalities, including Hot Stone and Salt Stone massages, and Sports massage. Current TDLR license.
