▪ Consults with post-surgery patients and performs an assessment of cosmetic needs and goals, develops a fitting plan and determines 
options, performs patient fittings and educates patients on options, follows up with patients to ensure satisfaction.
▪ Supports and conforms to the American Breast Care Code of Professional Responsibility, which promotes and assures the overall 
welfare of the patient and the integrity of the profession.
▪ Provides exceptional customer service in person, via written correspondence, and through telephone communications.
▪ General clerical duties: schedules appointments, creates and maintains filing systems, creates and maintains an active patient mailing
list, creates and maintains a list of all commonly called phone numbers, answers the phone and forwards messages, orders office 
supplies, processes mail, and creates and maintains documents and spreadsheets required for the program.
▪ Assists customers with purchases by using exceptional product knowledge.
▪ Completes necessary insurance paperwork and communicates with insurance companies and vendors as needed.
▪ Monitors, orders and stocks items as needed.
▪ Maintains strict patient/customer confidentiality.
▪ Directs patients to appropriate resources for questions regarding medical concerns
▪ Calls patients and sends personal correspondence regarding upcoming appointments and service.
▪ Engages in continuing education to improve knowledge on best practices and industry trends.
▪ Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

Education

Minimum High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred College level coursework.

Credentials/Licensure

Preferred: Mastectomy Fitter Certification from The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. or Board of Certification/Accreditation

Related Experience

Minimum: Five years of experience in a healthcare setting. Two years of retails sale experience. Preferred: Certified Mastectomy Fitter. Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy. Familiarity with medical insurance eligibility and coverage.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum: Strong knowledge of DME, bras, and breast surgery outcomes. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent supportive listening skills. Comfort, compassion, and patience working with patients in a various stages of cancer treatment. Strong organizational skills.

Computer Competency

Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Experience using electronic medical records. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions such as scanner, copier, and fax.

Physical/Mental Minimum:

Ability to stand, reach, twist, bend, crouch and squat. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
