Master Brake Operator - 2nd shift

Starting Wage: $25.57 + $2.30 shift differential  

Shift: 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday, 5:00 pm - 3:30 AM  

Location: Faribault North

What you will do: 

  

Read and interpret blue prints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements  Set up, program, and operate brake presses in accordance with outlined methods and procedures to safely and properly form various parts  Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule or template  Position work piece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade  Coordinate foot and hand motions to operate equipment, including foot pedals  Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction  Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation  Make adjustments on machine and programs as required; remove burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from work piece to comply with quality standards  Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies or work pieces  Stack, mark and transport finished parts  Knowledge of Manufacturing software and Spreadsheet software. Ability to set up and operate all brakes in their work area to qualify for Master Brake Operator designation, including properly making adjustments, consistently using pre-controls, and meeting or exceeding quality requirements  Ability to use measuring equipment such as tape measure, caliper, hook rule, etc.  Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production  Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area  Follow and understand HOMESafe, Persona Choice and company safety manual requirements  Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards  Ability to use hand tools  Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License  All other duties as assigned 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Ability to operate hand tools  Ability to read and understand written English 

Preferred Qualifications: 

High School Diploma or GED  Previous manufacturing experience
