Master Cook - Luxor

THE JOB:

As a Master Cook at Luxor, you will have the exciting opportunity to support our restaurant outlets, working with a range of culinary styles and techniques. From mastering meat temperatures at TENDER steakhouse to crafting flavorful Mexican dishes at Diablo’s Cantina, to handling breakfast service in our café, your skills will be put to the test. Your ability to create exceptional meals while maintaining a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment will play a crucial role in elevating our guests’ experiences.
 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, following the methods and portioning directed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Sous Chef.Set up and maintain your workstation based on pars established by the Chefs, and operate a specific station with precision.Evaluate food quality by taste and appearance to ensure every dish is crafted with excellence before it reaches the guest.Work across multiple outlets, adapting to different cuisines and cooking techniques, including steakhouse, Mexican, and breakfast service.Ensure health and safety standards are met by storing food at proper temperatures and complying with all occupational safety requirements.Support the team by managing orders accurately and ensuring smooth communication throughout service.
 

THE STARTING PAY: $24.9379
 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

1 year of prior relevant experience cooking in a professional kitchen or in an equivalent culinary environment.Flexibility to work on-call shifts and rotate between different outlets, adapting to a wide range of culinary styles.High School Diploma, GED, or educational equivalent.Proficiency in cooking techniques such as broiling, meat temperature control, sauce making, and breakfast cooking.Experience working in a casino kitchen is a plus, with a strong understanding of health and safety standards.Experience working in high-pressure environments and brings a passion for culinary excellence.Demonstrated ability to work with various cuisines, particularly in a steakhouse, Mexican restaurant, or breakfast setting.Eagerness to learn and grow within the company, with limitless potential for future promotions into higher roles such as Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
