As an On Call Union Master Cook for Rivea, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. THE SCHEDULE: On Call

Hours of operation:

Sunday to Saturday: 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Follow prescribed methods of food preparation, cooking, and portion sizing as directed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Sous Chef

Refer to station set-up sheets for guidance on operational procedures and set up workstation efficiently based on established pars provided by Chef hierarchy

Adapt to various stations and roles as needed to support the kitchen, and maintain station stock

Assess cooked food for quality, flavor, and appearance to meet the highest culinary standards set by the leadership team

Drive the Customer Relations Management system by accurately handling customer orders and ensuring correct preparation and service to enhance guest satisfaction

Monitor and maintain proper holding temperatures of food using thermometers to prevent foodborne illnesses and adhere to occupational, health, and safety standards in food handling and preparation

Complete closing requirements as directed by Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Sous Chef

Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of work area to uphold hygiene standards

Delegate tasks to other team members as instructed by chefs to optimize operations

Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and task completion

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Card

Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Must have at least 1 year of experience as a cook

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Has a flexible schedule and can accommodate various shifts

Demonstrates strong menu comprehension and meticulous attention to plate presentation

Is proficient with culinary tools, equipment, and techniques

Has prior experience working in a fine dining, and resort setting

Has prior experience cooking Italian, French and Mediterranean dishes

Embraces teamwork and strives to provide positive experiences

Is detail-oriented, can multi-task efficiently and prioritizes time management, and punctuality

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Is customer-centric, and team oriented
