Master Data Management Director

Every year Carnival Corporation generates 90+ years of cruise ship operational data. The Director, Master Data Management will play a pivotal role in transforming master data elements from various legacy sources into an enterprise source of truth (AMOS). This role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of master data management strategies. The central MDM repository will serve as a critical component to drive global Asset Management decisions, Technical Inventory Planning & Management and leveraging buying power.

Essential Functions:

Define the vision and lead the development and execution of building master data management business capability to ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across the organization. Influence up, down, and across the organization to gain support for the vision Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify all data requirements and best practices across brands and define data governance policies and procedures. Oversee design and implementation of future state of Asset Management MDM Tool(s) to support associated data governance policies Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, standards and best practices to support ongoing data management activities Provide leadership and guidance to a global team of MDM specialists, including resource allocation, performance management and professional development Partner with IT teams and external vendors to leverage technology solutions and tools for effective master data management Monitor MDM performance metrics and KPIs to track data quality, completeness and compliance with regulatory requirements Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in master data management and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Implementing the vision will require significant cultural change, develop and execute change management strategies

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.  Master’s degree a plus. Minimum 10 years of experience in master data management and MDM solutions.  Extensive knowledge of master data management concepts, principles and best practices. Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Understanding of AMOS (Maintenance, Inventory and Procurement) and Oracle. Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage change and adapt to evolving business needs.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.

Travel: Less than 25% with shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. 

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday.  Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
