Job Summary
The Master Data Manager oversees the Master Data/PLM functions and is responsible for ensuring the organizations data is accurate, consistent and available across the business. This role provides oversight of Product Life Cycle (PLM), Master Data, customer specifications, production specifications, Customer portals and customer requested regulatory documentation.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the day to day activities of the Master data team overseeing the all aspects of the PLM/ERP systems in regards to Master dataDevelop standards, policies, and procedures for data usage providing guidance to end users on processes related to master dataEvaluate data quality metrics used to demonstrate the value of data governance efforts and suggest improvements to processesDevelop and maintain weekly reports that give a clear picture of issues, areas for improvement and successesManage internal vendor portal for regulatory documentation communicating missing documents as needed as well as the customer portal providing required documentation as neededIdentify opportunities for improvement, develop improvement and lead or participate in the implementation of improvementMentor, train and cross train team members providing feedback in their successes and opportunities for improvementWear and ensure others wear all personal protective equipment in areas where mandatory supporting a zero-accident culturePerform other related duties as directedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong computer skills with ability to review data and identify errorsAbility to present technical processes in a manner easily understood by all levels of the organizationStrong knowledge of quality assurance/ food safety requirements and ability to apply and communicate in an easily understandable wayAbility to work in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail.Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgencyAbility to communicate clearly and effectively (verbal and written) internally to all levels of the organization and with external vendors and regulatory bodies. Ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload.Education
The position requires a Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food technology, Animal Science, Biology, Microbiology or other related discipline from an accredited institution; Masters degree preferred
Experience
The position requires a minimum of five (5) years of quality assurance/ food safety master data experience; poultry or/ processing experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in leading a team including enforcing policy adherence, conflict resolution and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of injury in an office or processing plant environment. Office duties include a typical office setting including extensive computer work, sitting or standing.
