GENERAL FUNCTION

Material Master Data Specialist is responsible for material lens master data creation and maintenance in support of the local commercial catalog function. Additional duties include support of product assortment strategy and master data language translation for entities not resident in SAP. Focus of role will start with creation of lens master data in SAP, grow into maintenance of lens master data and collaborative support of new product initiatives.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates, maintains and updates lens master data catalog in SAP. Review, prioritize, and implement mass changes to lens master data catalog. Manages timing of material lens order availability in SAP for activation across the enterprise based on product lifecycle management principles. Support order entry team with updates to lens master data governance rules and other enterprise lens data standards. Support operations team through material lens order entry tools development, testing, and maintenance of lens data interfaces, including data trans-codification for external systems interfaced to SAP. Collaborate with global teams on material lens assortment strategy that supports growth of EssilorLuxottica products in the marketplace. Collaborate on cross-functional teams to ensure successful launch of new product introductions. Participate in projects to evolve material lens master data which supports growth of EssilorLuxottica through innovation initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or experience in a related field 5+ years experience in master data role or data governance experience 4+ years experience with SAP, SQL database software, or similar database tool Ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and documentation skills Strong organizational/team-working skills with ability to coordinate in a diverse, dynamic environment Experience using Microsoft Tools – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of ophthalmic lens / lab services business acumen 2+ years experience in SAP AFS / ECC software (MM module – material management) Experience in SAP ECTR (Engineering Control Center) software Experience with concepts pertaining to nodes, composites, properties and attributes Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) planning and execution
