Job Description 

We’re looking for a Master Data Steward based in India for the Global Data & Analytics team, which is part of the part of Global Sales Operations organization, responsible insuring integrity of the right data, to the right people, at the right point in time. 

In the Global Data & Analytics team, we follow the data from its conception to its end in the hands of the people who use our data every day to create value for GN Group and our customers. 

The ideal Master Data Steward candidate will possess the ability to switch from a holistic view to detailed execution. 

With your professional and personal depth, you have the ability to manage, evaluate, and prioritize among many different tasks. Naturally, you always aim for perfection in your work, but with a variety of interests in the organization, you are able to balance perfection with pragmatism and flexibility. 

You are committed to building strong relationships with your primary stakeholders and able to set expectations for the journey. 

Key Role Responsibilities: 

· Support the Master Data Management (MDM) strategy 

· Ensure quality of master data, particularly CRM customer data and Channel Sales 

· Typically reports to department manager or IT team lead 

· Participate in development of detailed designs and cost estimates for change initiatives 

· Processes documentation with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity 

· Provides advisory to the project managers/members and business users 

· In collaboration with Power users and Data specialists, define and implement data strategy, policies, controls/error detection, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable 

· Manage, analyse, and support data initiatives and manages revisions needed to best meet commercial requirements while adhering to global MDM standards 

· Understand the data quality needs for each region, to prioritize areas needing monitoring & structuring 

· Scope ad-hoc data cleansing projects and get stakeholder support to ensure success 

· Responsibility for error correction within span of control 

· Facilitates governance with other functional data owners to ensure that functional master data across the organization is consistent and supports commercial business rules and requirements 

Requirements:

 

· Degree in IT, data management, computer science or related fields, or equivalent knowledge from working with MDM. 

· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working with data management. 

· Strong knowledge of data structures, data architecture and data governance.
