Description

The Supply Chain New Product Introduction Planner is responsible to create and maintain a feasible Master Plan Schedule in line with company goals and strategies to meet customer demand.  The NPI Supply Chain Planner will ensure alignment of supply to demand by partnering with other functional groups (Sourcing, Demand Management, Quality, Engineering and Factories) to meet on time deliveries, key performance indicators and achieve the company’s stated financial targets.  The position will report to the Manager of Supply Chain and will drive supply improvement, resolve supply gaps and variances as well as prevent excess & obsolete in an extremely fast paced environment. The NPI SCM planner manages high level of detail on several NPI projects at different stages of maturity at the same time, so the candidate besides having attention to detail must be organized, efficient, analytical, agile, resourceful, independent and a strong communicator.

Responsibilities Plans, schedules, coordinates and monitors production line certification and ramp for new products by meeting with different teams regularly (Business Unit, Engineering, Factory, etc.) to understand product development progression status. Creates and maintains a raw material and capacity feasible Supply Plan/Master Production Schedule on a weekly basis at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons. Assesses demand trend, raw material shifts and capacity constraints to identify risks that could affect the continuity of the supply to prevent interruptions as well as excess to prevent obsolescence while planning a reliable and accurate supply and the ability to meet the required schedules. Analyzes root cause of supply gaps to demand and communicates proactively and efficiently with stakeholders across the organization to resolve any supply allocation situation and/or expedites needed. Collaborates closely with Demand Management, Sourcing, Procurement, Production Control, Quality and Engineering teams at the factories to drive MPS improvements or to follow up on concerns that might impact the supply flow (WIP status, yield, process, or performance issues). Communicates Supply Vs Demand gaps and restrictions as closed-loop feedback on our weekly MPS process. Manages and maintains backlog CSDs in alignment to the latest supply plan. Qualifications BS or BA in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Planning, Business, Industrial Engineering or equivalent and 8 years overall job experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in areas such as Supply Chain Planning, Production Scheduling or related. Experience with MRP, ERP, and advance planning tools (SAP, Kinaxis Rapid Response is a plus). Knowledge in manufacturing, planning processes, inventory analysis, forecast/demand. Desired project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects with high degree of effectiveness. Skill to produce a high-quality outcome on multiple projects on a fast paced, time constrained, resource restricted, complex logistics and high accuracy demanding environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform in-depth data analysis and present it into a high-level supply planning assessment with recommended actions. Strong communicator, verbally and written. Ability to work in a global team environment. A tangible passion to contribute, put in extra hours when needed. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Ideal skill set: attention to detail; efficient; organized; analytical thinking; resourceful; independent; agile; effective communicator with organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

 

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $89,100 - $172,100 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
