THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin has an immediate opening for a Master Planner who ensures our company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. You will assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models.  Michelin’s purpose is to support to everyone’s right to move freely to find their better way forward. WHAT WILL YOU DO

Create a production plan (and for some activities a delivery plan) and distribute weekly to meet customer needs over the short-term horizonManage shipping and receiving of products to and from warehouse/customersInfluence/challenge partners to validate proposed forecasts, based on qualitative and quantitative analysesDevelop scenarios to establish monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts using the existing modelsSteers demand forecast accuracy and applies corrective action planReconciles forecast variance analysis with business trends and recommends progress plans to organizationDisaggregates demand plan based on the mix to feed operationsImplement and contribute to system/process improvements within group, with manager's guidance.Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategiesAddress demand-related issues in a timely and effective mannerDevelop performance metrics, reporting tools, and establishes ad-hoc reporting to improve department efficiencyAutomate highly manual and error-prone activities to support cross-functional processes

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

Knowledge to help drive digitalization to the planning teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsRelevant training and/or certifications as a demand plannerStrong mathematical and statistical knowledgeSolid understanding of inventory management practices and proceduresBS/BA degree in Business, Supply Chain, Management Information Systems, or related field4 years minimum experience in Supply Chain or Procurement requiredAbility to interact with functional and cross-functional teamsStrong presentation skills at all levelsSolid working knowledge of MRP/ERP system – SAP Preferred.Strong Excel skills – Expert level preferred
