The Licensed Plumber performs a wide variety of plumbing tasks, including inspection, upkeep and repair. This position will work at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC.
 

Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older A high school diploma or GED A valid plumber’s license Thorough knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repairs Time management skills Ability to drive company vehicles to various commercial and residential sites for work Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations Understanding of current field regulations

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  Three (3) or more years of trade experience as a plumber or plumber’s apprentice

Responsibilities:

Safely use hand and power tools to perform repairs, installations and maintenance according to building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices  Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures  Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians and other construction professionals  Follow building plans and blueprints  Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies as directed by the plumber or foreperson  Performs routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems  Keep accurate records of work orders, detailed work progress, labor and materials  Military and veteran friendly employer,  veterans and candidates with military experience encouraged to apply Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Code:  12K
