Job Summary Work Shift 1 - First Shift Are you the type of detail-oriented individual who takes pride in providing timely and accurate information to cross functional groups? In this role you will review and maintain the master production schedule in alignment with the sales forecast, provide accurate information to others in order to efficiently and effectively build orders for customer demand, and maintain standard practices for the manufacturing environment. We’re looking for someone excited to manage departments that are essential to the flow of information through the manufacturing scheduling process. What You’ll Do 1. Build schedule from sales forecast to ensure level loading of manufacturing and satisfying customer demand. Analyze purchased components for shortages or potential shortages. 2. Adjust weekly schedule based on production hours, time to build, parts availability, and market demand. 3. Ensure projects and customer requests are completed on time and with accuracy to meet customer expectations (i.e. coordinating physical inventory and verifying equipment ship dates). What We’re Looking For - Bachelor’s degree with minimum three years related experience with production control; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous material management experience is preferred. - Ability to provide reliable information in a timely manner and maintain 100% accuracy. - Knowledge of manufacturing, MRP systems, value streams and lean processes. - Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with customers and peers. - Ability to provide accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner. - Ability to prioritize projects and multi-task to meet deadlines and customer expectations. - Ability to meet performance measurements including, but not limited to, level loading of production, reduction of inventory dollars, standard practices for manufacturing and accurate information to customers. - Ability to manage the forecasting of customers’ needs. Travel - Occasional travel may be expected of this position. Work Location ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
