Master Scheduler
**Description** Responsible for leading the PIC team. The Master Scheduler is responsible for Coordinating planning, scheduling, and managing product flow through manufacturing processes. Develop and maintain the production schedule to minimize WIP and meet customer requirements. The Master Scheduler should have substantial product, manufacturing, and market knowledge as the individual actions taken have a direct impact on customer service, material, and capacity planning. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include but are not limited to the following: + Supports and recommends Continuous Improvement initiatives for planning & scheduling. Ability to recognize areas for improvement and suggest new/improved methods. + Monitors factory daily to ensure it continually meets customer service sales orders, inventory levels, production efficiency, and capacity objectives. Interacts with the Sales team, Supply Chain, and Operations to provide timely and accurate information on product availability, schedule changes, and general inquiries and recommends adjustments to the appropriate departments. + Communicate with PIC Planning team to make sure parts are in correct priority on the production schedules + Use MRP system to plan and schedule reasonable and attainable schedules. Diligently assess optimal levels of finished goods inventory to align with demand forecasts. + Strategically coordinate the manufacturing schedule for production, skillfully navigating key constraints such as raw material, labor, warehouse space, equipment availability, and preventative maintenance. + Communicates to Operations/Business/Project/Manufacturing scheduling information as needed. + Sound understanding of supply chain roles, (demand planning, supply planning, production planning), engineering and manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics + Reduce Customer Past dues to below $250k and maintain them. OTD Tier 1 parts must be 98% On Time. All other Tiers 90%. **Miscellaneous Duties:** + Follows all ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions; notifies or recommends to supervisor when procedures require update. + Exhibits and demonstrates behaviors and attitudes as that of a ‘team player’. + Follows and practices all safety procedures. Notifies supervisor immediately when potential hazards exist. + Other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Knowledge of basic Engineering and Procurement best practices and requirements in a Lean-manufacturing environment. + Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively across multiple departments. + APIC Certification preferred + Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment. + Independent and Self Directed + Prior Manufacturing planning background a plus + Demonstrated proficiency with advanced MS Excel (or equivalent) and Microsoft Project Management functions. **Supervisory Responsibility:** + Coaching and developing planning team. **Equipment used:** + Standard office equipment **Education/Experience and/or Training:** + Associate or bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience in a related field + 7-10 years of planning/purchasing/engineering department experience in a Lean manufacturing/operations.
