Will perform planning, scheduling and monitoring of material movement and returns through the production cycle to determine required materials needed to complete a job. This position develops specifications for new contract orders, evaluates vendor reliability, and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. The position is further responsible for timely planning inventory control of material as assigned, and performing the following duties under medium degree of supervision, some independent decision making. **Detailed Description:** Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. This position will perform data analysis to provide insight for SIOP demand planning and supply planning requirements and execute plans with the SIOP Team and in partnership with each department to address possible gaps. Analyze and assess demand planning, forecasts and execution plans while identifying possible gaps with production capacity and escalate issues as needed. Plans and schedules workflow for Major Production Programs with each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible. Support and expand on all opportunities to level load the plan to drive improvements in inventory, fulfillment, cycle time, capacity management and growth for Major Production Programs. Assist in quantifying and defining the scope for capacity, resources, logistics and supply chain planning. Works with manufacturing team and develops monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and capacity parameters focusing on Major Production Programs. Prepare and track appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvements. Creates and executes plan for every part and maintain master data for purchased parts, sub-assemblies, end items and other parts as required to maintain BOM master integrity. Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects. Prepares production reports. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records. Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company. Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource requirements. Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers. Prepares lists of required materials, tools, and equipment. Prepares purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment. Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.
