Job DescriptionDuring your Master thesis, you will support the development of a concept design for electric drives to achieve a Tier1/Tier2 market position for Bosch as a supplier of eDrives to producers of industrial and/or commercial robots - such as cobots, wheeled and humanoid robots and exo-skeletons.You will develop a rough design concept based on existing benchmark results, requirements of potential customers and existing eDrive designs for the automobile business - especially the use of existing building sets together with Bosch experts.Furthermore, you will update existing business case calculations based on the rough concept designs and help prepare a Bosch Innovation Gate 2 for this business.Your deep technical understanding of the requirements is needed to create solutions that differentiate from the competition at the eDrive level - for example, by integrating specific sensors and/or gear solutions.

QualificationsEducation: Master studies in the field of Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparableExperience and Knowledge: in-depth experience in engineering design, product design, materials and product development; basic technical understanding of electric drives and robotics in an industrial and/or commercial environment; knowledge and experience in defining functional requirements and their implementation in module design; knowledge of module construction kits and their use; CAD and/or MATLAB/Simulink skills an advantagePersonality and Working Practice: you are able to grasp complex issues quickly and manage your time effectively; you approach tasks independently and autonomously, exude confidence and demonstrate analytical thinking; you work well in a teamEnthusiasm: high motivation and enthusiasm for roboticsLanguages: very good communication skills in written and spoken German and English
