Background

Axis, world leader in security solutions, is developing radar products to broaden our portfolio. Axis has released several radar products that are used, for example, for large outdoor areas or traffic monitoring. Radar technology is becoming more available every year which opens for many new applications. A new generation of high-resolution radars could be used for various new applications in security, safety, and health care. In this thesis we want you to explore how high-resolution radars can be used for human gait analysis.  

Goal

In this thesis you will look at 3D radar data and develop an algorithm to classify human gait. 

Who are you?

For this Thesis proposal we target students that like analytical thinking, algorithms, and machine learning but also like applying theory to real world problems.  

We expect that you have a decent knowledge of programming in Python or Matlab and like to experiment and evaluate to find good solutions.  

You can apply for this thesis work on your own or as a team of two. The work will be done mainly on-site at the Axis HQ in Lund, in close collaboration with the Axis radar team.
