Material and Analytical Sciences - Co-Op
**Description** Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Co-Op to join our Material and Analytical Sciences department located at our Ridgefield, Connecticut facility. As a Spring Co-Op, you will be working in a dynamic environment to develop novel critical material attributes to correlate dissolution kinetics from drug substance and drug product physical properties. Our competitive compensation and benefit programs reflect Boehringer Ingelheim´s high regard for our employees. **Duties & Responsibilities** + He/She will be involved in independently setting up the in vitro dissolution process and developing relevant analytical procedure. + Characterize various physical properties of drug substance and drug products obtained by different manufacturing routes. + Collect high quality data and summarize findings for department seminar. **Requirements** + Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing from Pharmaceutical Science or Chemical Engineering background. + Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship. + Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred. + Major or minor in related field of internship + Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university. + Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university. **Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:** + Experience in various in-vitro dissolution testing and method development is required. + Good understanding of material science and formulation development of small molecules including relevant characterization techniques is preferred. + Experience in transport/kinetic modeling is a plus. **Compensation Data** This position offers an hourly rate of $20.00 - $33.00 USD / hr. commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled.
