Material Control Clerk conduct documented inventories when key management, supervisory, or material control employee’s turnover. Inspect property during inventories for correct marking and shall ensure that all CMGP under the program possession or Ascension control exhibits property markings. Material Control Clerk shall record property tag numbers, serial numbers, and similar identification information on inventories. Material Control Clerk shall place all property tag numbers when recording property tag numbers. Material Control Clerk shall record property tag numbers, serial numbers, and similar identification such as markings or inscriptions on the Ascension Island PMS per line item. Material Control Clerk ensure that all property under their control, and all Ascension Island property is labeled, marked, or tagged or similarly identified and that identification numbers from tags, labels, sticker, manufacturer’s serial numbers, data plates, etchings, etc. Material Control Clerk are accurately recorded on the Ascension Island an provide program planning and execution, labor, and supervision of program labor to meet all vehicle management, vehicle maintenance, material control, and ground transportation service requirements and support the mission of the AAAF within the scope. Material Control Clerk manage material acquisition, logistical support, and associated warehouse activities. Issue materials to work activities, to include log materiel costs and close out work tasks in NexGen IT

This position is contingent based on contract award.

Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
+ Cleaning and preparing a subsistence storage location, loading, and unloading materials, and using a variety of equipment (such as flatbeds, forklifts, and salad bar carts).
+ Order Subsistence IAW regulations and policies.
+ Date all incoming subsistence and use NEXGEN service regulations.
+ Inventory and annotate the counts on the appropriate authorized documents. Turn into Warehouse Manager for review and approval.
+ Input or annotate orders to be submitted into NEXGEN as directed by the Warehouse Manager and IAW local policies.
+ Clean and sanitize all storage locations daily (Refrigeration units, Storeroom etc.)
+ Clean and organize the subsistence storage unit as required to ensure it’s always in a need an orderly manner.
+ Use forklift with appropriate licensing or certification as required.
+ Perform any additional task that is required given by the Warehouse Manager to support the feeding mission.
+ Completes any other tasks the Lead or ASM direct.
+ Follow physical security standards IAW facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
+ At all outdoor container sites, clerks may need to control foot traffic. They set up markers, cones, and barricades.

Working Environment:
+ The outside work environment will also be very hot due to conditions within the region.

+ Ability to lift 40 pounds if required, standing, sitting, and squatting along with other normal office related physical activities that are required.

Qualifications
Education / Certifications:
+ Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
+ Should have and maintain a current Material Control related certification (Within 3 years).
+ Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
Experience / Skills:
+ Should have a minimum of 4 years of Material Control operation experience with preferably 2 years of large-scale operations.
+ Must be able to work under pressure.
+ Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may involve working in the out of doors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions, specifically desert heat.
+ Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
+ Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules.
+ Must be able to lift, push or pull 40 lbs. Working environment will be 90% indoor, 10% outside.
