Material Control Specialist

JSG is hiring a Material Control Specialist for our client in Santa Clarita, CA. This is 100% onsite role.
Pay rate: $30+
Job Duties: Ensures accuracy of supplier promise dates Ensures supplier acknowledgement of Purchase Orders Responsible for early reporting of potential supply disruptions in Daily Management Meetings Meets with suppliers on a regular cadence to review late delivery recovery plans Escalates late deliveries to appropriate members Trains suppliers in the use of commitment and acknowledgement process Tracks late material from shipment through to issuance to production Coordinate part transport to other departments for further modifications, use, or shipping Reviews item status in the ERP system and ensures item is received/stocked appropriately based on its current status Monitors supplier forecasts for increases/decreases that could have an impact on suppliers’ ability to support Follow all departmental safety rules and regulations and use appropriate safety equipment and gear Support and coordinate with purge coordinator to isolate nonconforming parts Collect and analyze item parameters such as order quantities, lead times, lot-sizing techniques, and scrap factors Act as a liaison to drive resolution between functions to resolve issues impacting supplier delivery
Pay rate: $30+ DOE
