Summary
The Material Control Specialist I is an entry level position. In this role, performs the administrative and physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of materials, supplies and equipment. The primary responsibility is to control and track materials from receipt through storage to issue.
Position Responsibilities
Receives and counts stock items, and records data using computerized systemPacks and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockroomVerifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigates discrepancies or adjusts errorsStores items in an orderly and accessible manner in stockroomIssues or distributes materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitionsReviews and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletionsTakes responsibility for an assigned portion of the daily output of the stockroom in support of production, product development, and engineering projectsWorks on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and normally receives detailed instructions on work under close supervisionOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
High School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredTypically requires up to one (1) year of related functional experience (i.e.- previous stockroom/inventory) or equivalent combination of experience and educationDemonstrated computer skills and proficiency using office software and/or computerized inventory control systemA valid driver's license and clean driving record is required in order to drive company vehiclesOther Qualifications & Desired Competencies
Prior Hazmat shipping experience (lithium-ion or equivalent) is desiredFamiliarity with electronics manufacturing is preferredDemonstrated knowledge of safe material handling practices and the safe handling of electro-static sensitive components (ESD) is desiredConsistently demonstrates strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) and attention to detailCommunicates effectively with internal and external customersDemonstrates teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one's own interestsAble to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of dutiesDisplays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectivesTakes ownership and responsibility for current and past work productsIs committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the companyPhysical Demands

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
