Summary
The Material Control Specialist III, Lead is responsible for overseeing administrative and physical tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and fulfilling orders for materials, supplies, and equipment. The primary focus of this role is managing and tracking materials throughout their lifecycle, from receipt and storage to issuance and shipment. This position also serves as a Team Lead, providing guidance and support to the team.
Position Responsibilities
Receives and counts stock items, and records data using computerized systemPacks and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockroomVerifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigates discrepancies or adjusts errorsStores items in an orderly and accessible manner in stockroomIssues or distributes materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitionsReviews and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletionsTakes responsibility for an assigned portion of the daily output of the stockroom in support of production, product development, and engineering projectsWorks on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendationsOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
High School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredMinimum of 4 - 6 years of related functional experience (i.e.- previous shipping - receiving) or equivalent combination of experience and educationDemonstrated computer skills and proficiency using office software and/or computerized inventory control systemA valid driver's license and clean driving record is required in order to drive company vehiclesOther Qualifications & Desired Competencies
Prior Hazmat shipping experience and certification with (lithium-ion or equivalent) is desiredCoordinate with shipping carriers (LTL/TL) to schedule pickups and track shipments. Resolve any issues related to shipping delays or discrepancies.Familiarity with electronics manufacturing is preferredDemonstrated knowledge of safe material handling practices and the safe handling of electro-static sensitive components (ESD) is desiredConsistently demonstrates strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) and attention to detailCommunicates effectively with internal and external customersDemonstrates leadership, teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one's own interestsAble to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of dutiesDisplays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectivesTakes ownership and responsibility for current and past work productsIs committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the companyPhysical Demands

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
